How to use

How to take it

Shake, four pumps, once a day. This page covers the rest — the timing, the missed doses, and the part that decides whether any of it was worth buying.

The label version

Shake before every use, then four pumps into the mouth or onto the tongue, once in the day. That is the directions line in full, and nothing follows it.

A few things follow from it that the bottle has no room to say.

Four pumps is one serving, not four servings. It is worth stating because pump counts read like a lot. One dose, once a day.

Shaking is not optional. A three-herb extract separates. An unshaken bottle gives you a different mouthful at the top than at the bottom, which is a slow way to make a formula inconsistent with itself.

There is no reason to double up. Missing a day is missing a day. Taking eight pumps tomorrow does not settle the account; it just empties the bottle faster and costs you more per day.

In one line

Shake → four pumps → swallow → done.

Ten seconds. No water, no food timing, no second dose.

Which time of day?

The label does not specify one, which means the answer is whichever time you will not miss.

First thing

The default for most people, because mornings repeat themselves more reliably than the rest of the day. Keep the bottle next to whatever you switch on first.

Midday

Better if your mornings are chaos but your lunch break is fixed. A bottle in a desk drawer at half twelve is more dependable than one in a kitchen you run through at seven.

Evening

Perfectly fine. There is no stimulant in the formula, so nothing here should keep you up. The only rule is that tomorrow it happens at the same time again.

If you miss one

Take the next dose at the usual time and carry on. Do not chase it. Nothing about a daily botanical requires you to make up a gap, and the attempt only costs you a dose you paid for.

Making it stick, which is the whole game

The dull fact behind every supplement ever purchased: what settles whether it did anything is hardly ever the formula. It is how many mornings you were still bothering by the middle of the second month.

Two habits carry most of that weight.

Put the bottle on the trigger. Not in a cupboard, not in a drawer — next to the kettle, the coffee machine, the toothbrush, the thing you touch every morning without deciding to. A supplement stored somewhere sensible is a supplement you will find full in March.

Attach it to an action, not a clock. "Four pumps at eight" is a reminder you will learn to ignore. "Four pumps while the kettle boils" is part of something you were already doing, and it survives the weeks when nothing else does.

This has a commercial edge too, and we may as well say it plainly. The six-bottle box is much the cheapest per day, but only if 180 days of spraying actually happens. Buying half a year of a habit you have not formed yet is not a discount. Work out which version of yourself is doing the buying, and then pick the box.

Looking after the bottle

  • Cool, dry, out of direct sunlight. A windowsill is the worst place in the house for a botanical extract.
  • Cap on, pump clean. Wipe the nozzle if it gets sticky.
  • Do not decant it into something else. The amber glass is doing a job.
  • Keep it away from children. It is sweetened with lemon and it looks harmless.

Looking after yourself

  • Adults over 18 only. Not while pregnant or nursing.
  • Anything on repeat prescription is a reason to ask a pharmacist first.
  • Ginger is not a blank ingredient — raise it if you take a blood thinner.
  • Stop if anything unexpected happens, and say so to a clinician.
  • Never swap a prescribed inhaler or treatment for this. Not for a day.
